• Examines fundamentals of drafting with a focus on machine parts/design, including design of mechanical components

• Introduces students to the basics of drafting: Linetypes, Primary views, Orthographic and auxiliary views, drawing layout, software fundamentals through the use of board drafting, 2d CAD drafting and 3d modeling, free hand sketching 

• Students work with complex 3d models and assemblies, bill of materials/parts lists, exploded assemblies, and aspects of project management 

• 3d printing of models

Both courses will develop soft skills employers require to maintain gainful employment
